50kvm is a VPS host run by Chinese people. I learned about it from a friend. It provides VPS hosts in computer rooms such as Russia's Khabarovsk, San Jose DCS, Los Angeles C3, Los Angeles GlobalFrag, and Hong Kong Shatin. The main reason for paying attention to this VPS host is that their San Jose DCS and Los Angeles C3 computer rooms are connected to CN2 lines, and the prices are relatively cheap. The cheapest package of 50kvm is San Jose DCS’s 512MB memory for 33 yuan. I mentioned in the Reference Manual for Identifying True and False CN2 Line Hosts that CN2 line VPS hosts are generally more expensive than ordinary VPSs because the cost is destined to be there. The price of 50kvm is almost the same as that of an ordinary VPS host, and the price is indeed attractive. Compared with the classic VPS also sold at C3 in Los Angeles, the VPS of the 50kvm San Jose DCS mainly has "reduce allocation" in disk IO. These data can be seen in the test below this article. Benefiting from the CN2 line, the 50kvm DCS speed in San Jose, USA is relatively stable. In addition, as there are more and more users of CN2 lines, I found that the CN2 lines in the United States will occasionally become unstable. For more CN2 VPS hosts, you can also check out:

The 50kvm data centers include Russia's Khabarovsk, San Jose DCS, Los Angeles C3, Los Angeles CERA-SSD, Los Angeles GLOBALFRAG, and Hong Kong Shatin. Among them, the three computer rooms of Jose DCS, Los Angeles C3, and Hong Kong Shatin use the CN2 line. Each computer room provides test file downloads and Looking Glass. You can test the speed and lines of each computer room in advance. The minimum monthly payment when purchasing is 33 yuan. It uses WHMCS, which everyone should be familiar with. The 50kvm VPS host uses the SolusVM control panel, which is quite simple to operate. (Click to enlarge) The 50kvm architecture is our common combination of WHMCS+SolusVM. If you have money, you can also rent a server and start selling VPS. Please refer to: WHMCS installation and usage tutorial and SolusVM installation and usage.

2. 50kvm performance speed evaluation

This is the VPS host of San Jose DCS with 512MB of memory. From the test in the figure below, you can see that the CPU and disk IO are a bit inferior compared to the classic VPS. (Click to enlarge) Using UnixBench comprehensive performance test, the VPS score of 512MB memory is around 1000. (Click to enlarge) San Jose DCS is relatively fast because it uses the CN2 line. The upload speed of the VPS can reach the maximum value of my local telecommunications. The download speed can reach more than 1MB/s, which is similar to the classic VPS. Finally, the bandwidth of the 50kvm San Jose DCS computer room was tested, and it was only 100MB. This article refers to VPS host performance and speed test methods: VPS host performance and speed test methods.

3. 50kvm VPS line test

Outbound telecommunications route CN2. This can be seen from my local test results. Telecom backhaul CN2. According to the test method of the reference manual for identifying true and false CN2 line hosts, return to China Telecom from DCS in San Jose and still use the CN2 line. China Unicom uses ordinary lines. CN2 is provided by China Telecom, and China Unicom users use China Unicom's backbone network to get to DCS in San Jose. The same goes for the China Unicom return trip. China Mobile uses China Unicom lines. During the test, China Mobile transferred to China Unicom and then to DCS in San Jose. The same goes for the mobile backhaul. San Jose DCS transfers to China Unicom and then to China Mobile.

4. Summary

Generally speaking, 50kvm VPS is considered the cheapest among CN2 VPS hosts. It was pioneered by Chinese people and can be paid with Alipay, WeChat, etc., which may be more convenient for users who do not have Paypal. Judging from data testing, 50kvm VPS may mainly "save" costs in terms of CPU and disk performance. However, the line quality of CN2 is still quite good. I have not tested the download speed of China Unicom and China Mobile. The download speed of local telecom is still acceptable. Regarding the founder of 50kvm, I can't get relevant information here. When opening the "About Us" and other links below the 50kvm official website, a 404 appears. I suggest 50kvm improve it more.
